Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Accessibility (I.D.E.A.) Committee

Mission Statement: “The ASU Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Access Committee (IDEA) strives to create a space for staff advocates to collaborate on the common cause of creating inclusive, welcoming environments, celebrating diversity, and advancing efforts to further embed values of equity and inclusion into the campus community through education and relationship building”

Vision Statement: “We envision a future where all ASU staff are treated fairly, feel respected and safe, and are given the opportunity, support and resources to excel as a professional and person.”

The Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Accessibility Committee is responsible for:  

1. Provide recommendations to improve, coordinate, and support Staff Council’s internal diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts.

2. Partnering with offices across ASU to advance equity and inclusion focused professional development education/training within Staff Council.

3. Serve as a resource hub for staff advocates to access strategies, tools, and resources.
