Membership and Recruitment
The Membership and Recruitment Committee welcomes, recruits, and helps retain Staff Council members. Our committee is responsible for identifying challenges and opportunities for recruiting new members, retaining current members, and assisting with the elections process to encourage all eligible staff to vote.
Some of the work that the Membership and Recruitment Committee undertakes include:
- Coordinating the Staff Council Liaisons, an initiative for incoming Council members
- Providing general campus orientation and welcome to members
- Golf-cart campus tours (Poly Campus)
- Outreach to staff, encouraging them to consider joining Staff Council
- Supporting Staff Council elections
- Reaching out to members with expiring terms
To remain inclusive and accessible to all Staff Council members among various ASU campuses and locations, the Membership & Recruitment Committee meets via Zoom. The Membership and Recruitment Committee typically meets the 2nd Wednesday of each month. Please reach out to the Committee Chair for the Zoom link.
Are you an existing Staff Council Member or Advocate? Sign up to be a Staff Council Liaison!
As a Liaison, you will be a “buddy” to a new Staff Council member, supporting them as a primary point of contact. This is a small time-commitment and you don’t have a to be a Council expert!
