ASU Staff Council in partnership with ASURA (Arizona State University Retirees Association) offers monthly seminars to deepen our understanding of what retirement might look like.

Registration is not required. All presentation are currently zoom application.

Social Security 101
This class highlights what you need to know about your Social Security benefit options, including some less known options and strategies. A question and answer session will follow the presentation as well. Jack Burns has worked with the Social Security Administration for over 21  years and is currently the Public Affairs Specialist for Social Security in Arizona. As Public Affairs Specialist, Jack educates employees of many of the  largest employers throughout Arizona on a regular basis on their Social Security benefit options. He holds a B.A. from the University of Connecticut and a M.Ed. from Arizona State University.
