About Perri Collins
In her position at Arizona State University, Perri Collins lends her social media expertise to the W. P. Carey School of Business. She teaches a course on social media strategy at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication.
Before working in higher education, Collins spent her early career at publications and media outlets such as Arizona Business Magazine, the Phoenix Business Journal, Univision, and the Associated Press. She's a past president of the Phoenix Society of Professional Journalists and a founding member of the AZ Women in Media. Collins is active in Arizona's tech community, participating in events such as Ignite, TEDx Phoenix, and WordCamp. She holds a bachelor's degree in journalism from ASU. Collins is passionate about mentoring young professionals. In her free time, you can find her playing guitar, reading sci-fi, and traveling to far-flung places around the globe.
