Regaining Momentum: Driving Inclusion Forward

Sponsored by ASU Staff Council’s Committee for Advocacy, Inclusion, and Community and the Office of Inclusive Excellence.

Open to all Arizona faculty, staff, students, and community members.

As higher education faces evolving challenges—from the effects of the pandemic to shifting demographics and political landscapes—our fifth annual inclusive excellence conference serves as a crucial platform to renew commitments to inclusive practices that ensure equitable access and opportunities for all students, faculty, and staff.

The conference will address the unique needs and opportunities within Arizona’s higher education landscape, featuring key discussions on enhancing support for underrepresented student populations, creating inclusive curricula, and cultivating leadership committed to inclusive excellence. Participants will explore innovative strategies to dismantle systemic barriers and foster a culture of belonging across campuses, with a focus on Arizona’s diverse communities.

Attendees will engage with practical solutions to reinvigorate inclusion efforts. Topics will range from policies that promote access and retention to leveraging new technologies to create more inclusive learning environments.

This event will empower our community to regain momentum and ensure that every person, regardless of background, has the opportunity to thrive.

Scheduled for Wednesday, April 9, 2025, and Thursday, April 10, 2025, from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m, on both days.
